John Gramling leads New Canaan Impact Capital, a faith-rooted merchant bank specializing in high-impact opportunities across technology, real estate, green energy, and healthcare.

John is also a Managing Director with Carolina Financial Securities (Carofin), where he structures private securities and works with companies to strengthen governance, operations, and financial performance. His activist investment approach integrates capital with ongoing advisory and leadership support to ensure long-term value creation.

Earlier in his career, John founded and operated construction companies, real estate development projects, and managed diversified assets in agriculture, manufacturing, and equipment. His roots remain in agriculture through his family’s century-old business managing farmland, dealerships, and manufacturing facilities.

John currently serves as Board Chairman for Haggai International and is the Co-Founder and Chairman of XPan Global. Both are global ministries that equips and mentors healthy leaders to foster lasting spiritual growth and transformed communities around the world. He has also served as Trustee, Administrative Council, Sunday School Teacher, and Lay Leader at Gramling Methodist Church.

John earned his B.S. in Business Administration from The Citadel and was commissioned as a U.S. Army officer, completing Infantry and Airborne training. He and his wife, Laura, live in South Carolina and have two children, Anna and Jake.
